Thank you for the article! Do you mind exploring more in your next letter on your second round list? What are the attributes that attracts you? What are their weaknesses?

That’s definitely the plan. I’m hoping that when the players declare, most of the guys stay in the draft, otherwise, my projected 2nd rounders may end up early 2nds and out of reach.

As for attributes, I’ve been learning towards feel and strength, size, IQ, athleticism, and skills last. The draft is deep so I don’t have to worry too much about skill sets. They all provide at least 1 NBA skill and that isn’t always the case. But if there’s not a good balance of skills, or there’s a poor thought process / slow thought process despite those skills, then I’ll tend to exclude them. The game is too quick, too fast, too athletic, and too skilled to allow for mistakes possession after possession.

Weaknesses, that changes for each player, but I do look at it through a different lens for 2nd round to UDFA; accepting a particular flaw or thinking that a particular flaw just isn’t as detrimental for NBA success compared to others.

Great 👍 job ! I came to your article because of Iztok frank ! Do u think the lakers could trade up 🆙 maybe like the 25 th pick and the 2033 future first for the 12/17/37 from the thunder ( pipe dream ) and then drafting lendeborg and Cameron Carr ( or Hannes Steinbach because I like him and I am from Germany 🇩🇪) and with the 37 th pick zuby ejiofor or taris Reed or Billy Richmond or Alex caraban or baba miller ! The thunder don’t want the lakers get better! Or ayton and the 25 th pick for Jalen smith ( or Isaac okoro ) and the 15 th and 38 th pick ! I kind of like that

Welcome! I would love for that scenario to come true but it's not typically how the Lakers operate. Usually they're willing to purchase a 2nd round pick and even find ways to move the 2nd rounder up of they need to. But I think the lottery picks and mid 1st rounders are more valuable than ever because they are cost controlled contracts under the new CBA. It just matters so much to get a productive player that outplays their salary level.

Yeah then let’s try to get like Henry veesar or taris Reed jr with number 25 ! Or which realistic player do u think 🤔!? And maybe trade the 2033 second rounder to the bulls for number 38 or the nets for 33 or the thunder for 37 !? What’s your favorite second rounder for the lakers ?! If they buy one than the lakers are hard capped in the 2 apron ? Greets from Germany 🇩🇪

How do u Like taris Reed jr or zuby ejiofor for the lakers ? WHO is Duke brennan ?

Every year the team invites a lot of players, Top 60 or not into combine situations. If I were to guess, I think LAL leans to Tarris Reed Jr. over Zuby Ejiofor. I'm perfectly fine with that.

Would u trade the 25 th pick to the spurs for picks 35/42/44?

I hate the time when the lakers Season is over and the finals can go til June 20 th ! Nothing really Happens ! Draft we have to wait till June 23 es and 24 th and free Agency Till June 30!hopefully the Lakers resign kennard and hachimura and smart Right after the finals 😅

Well which players did withdraw from the draft yesterday ? Amari allen and andre stojakovic and tounde Yousuffe ( i like him ) ! Hopefully the lakers can get another second round pick ? Trade the 2033 second round Pick for the Okc Thunder 37 ? Billy Richmond goes back to College ! Is baba miller good ? Richie Saunders ?
